Your default profile settings enable your profile to be found by non-members and search engines (with the exception of accounts created prior to 17 August 2007).

This is how you change these settings:

  1. Click on Settings in the upper right corner of the XING website and select Settings. (In the XING apps, tap on your profile image in the top left corner, choose Settings and then XING Settings).
  2. Click on Privacy.
  3. In the section Findability you can adjust the following options:
  • Make my profile page visible to non-members.
  • Allow search engines to find my profile.

Please note: It may take a few days for Google or other search engines to delete your profile. This is because the data is saved in the search engine operator's cache. If your profile data is shown on third-party websites this will also result in search hits. Please be patient until the search engine carries out another web scan. Unfortunately, XING has no influence over when this will be. Alternatively, you can contact the search engine provider or website owner directly and ask them to remove your data. We aren’t able to access their data and therefore cannot delete any of this information.
