Enable JavaScript in my browser

To use the full feature set XING has to offer, you need to have JavaScript activated in your browser. JavaScript can be deactivated via browser settings, add-ons installed in your browser, or internet security software. Below you’ll find instructions on how to activate JavaScript in most browsers. If you have any add-ons or internet security software, please consult the provider if they’re blocking JavaScript on your computer.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Enter about:config in the address bar and press enter.
  2. Click the I accept the risk! button.
  3. Enter javascript.enabled in the search box.
  4. Double-click on false in the value column of the javascript.enabled setting to change this value to true.

Google Chrome:

  1. Enter chrome://settings/content in the address bar and press enter.
  2. Make sure the JavaScript option is set to Allowed

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Enter group policy in the Windows search and click on the displayed entry.
  2. Double-click on User Configuration, followed by Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Edge.
  3. Now double-click on Allows you to run scripts, like JavaScript. Check the box next to Activated and confirm this by clicking on OK.

Internet Explorer 11:

  1. In the top menu, select Tools.
  2. Now select Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Security tab.
  4. Here, you should click on the Custom level... button.
  5. Scroll down to the Scripting section.
  6. Under Active Scripting, select Enable and click OK.

Apple Safari (Mac OS):

  1. In the menu bar, click on Safari > Settings.
  2. Next, click on the Security icon.
  3. There, check the Enable JavaScript box.
