XING AdManager Business Account – what’s that?

Answer

An AdManager Business Account (previously called an Agency Login) is a tool on XING where multiple people can post, view and manage ads.

There are two main reasons for having an AdManager Business Account:

  1. If you’re an agency and want to post ads on behalf of other companies (customers). You can assign specific budgets to certain customers, which makes billing easier.
  2. If you’re a company looking to give multiple employees the option to post ads on behalf of your company and to be able to manage ads as a team. You can assign specific budgets to certain events or projects.

To log in to your AdManager Business Account, visit www.xing.com/xam

If you don’t have an account yet, please contact the XING Marketing Solutions team by visiting https://werben.xing.com/de/kontakt (page in German).

After logging in you’ll be presented with two menu items:

  • Customers shows you a list of customers for which you manage and post ads.
  • Administration is where you can add new customers and team members who manage your AdManager Business Account with you.
  1. In the Administration section at the top right of the screen, click on Add new customer
  2. Enter your customer’s name
  3. Now add billing details for your customer

First, you need asset authorisation from your customer via their company profile.

  1. Go to Administration and select a customer
  2. Add the link to the company profile (https://www.xing.com/pages/companyname) in the Add assets field, then press enter followed by Send request. You can use the company search to get the link to your customer’s company profile
  3. The company profile editor will receive your request via e-mail and can then authorise or decline it. Until then, your asset will have the status Authorisation pending. If this status disappears, it means that the asset has been authorised, whereas Asset authorised declined means that the editor refused to grant this authorisation

Go to Administration, then Team and use the "Add team member" field to enter the name of someone from your company/agency, or one of your customers. That person’s name will appear in the dropdown menu for you to select. If you get a lot of results, you can add the company name to narrow them down. If you want this person to be able to add users and manage permissions, you can appoint them as an admin.

Click on Administration and select a customer for which you’d like to give permissions to a team member. Next, select a user from the dropdown menu and then choose whether they should be an editor or analyst (see question 7).

Assets are companies on behalf of which you want to post ads. For this you need authorisation from the company (see question 4 How do I post ads on a company’s behalf?)
