Copy an event

If you're organising events that take place on a regular basis or even simultaneously in different locations you have the option to use one event as a template for other events. This way you don’t always have to manually enter title, event description, location, date or upload logos and banners.

  1. Click on Events and then the For organisers tab.
  2. Search in the list of events you’ve organised for the event you wish to copy. If you've cancelled the event or it has already taken place, change the filter from Live to Archived.
  3. Click on More.
  4. Select Copy.

A window will now open for you to edit the copied event, safe it as a draft and eventually post it. To make a clear distinction between the two events the words "Copy of" are added to the copy's title. Remember to therefore check title and date of the copied event and potentially change them.

Afterwards the copy will behave exactly like a manually created event.

If you’re on the event page you can also copy your event there. Simply click on More in the top right corner of the screen and choose Copy.

Please note: If you're using a ticket shop or online registration from XING you need to copy your event in the XING EventManager. Log in to your account on, go to your event and click copy in the more dropdown.
